Okay, it's not Shakespeare but here comes "Lego Brokeback Mountain"

If you are a fan of man-on-man action, of the Lego and PG-13 variety, do I have a site for you. Our friend Daniel is the only person we know who has a Lego Room in every place he has lived. I confess that I live in fear that He Who Must Be Obeyed, who is already a big Lego fan, will join Daniel's Cult of Lego and take over a room in our home by filling it with angular dioramas in primary colors.

But I digress.

Daniel exhibits his Lego work around the Seattle area. With Brokeback Mountain fever and the Oscars bearing down on us, his latest project should be no surprise - "Lego Brokeback Mountain":

Daniel has a singular fame in several circles for a staggering and hysterical animated version of "Lego Hamlet". The eight minute version of "Lego Hamlet" fairly crackles along with all those tiresome speeches that don't advance the story replaced by the characters saying a chirpy "Okay!"

"Lego Brokeback Mountain" is getting around the blogosphere too. I spotted it on the excellent Mike Tidmus blog and many other places around the web.

But there is a lot more to Daniel than Lego. He also has a TV blog that is imperiously subtitled "I like TV and so should you" that is worth a look, and it seems like he is working on a one man show of Sunset Boulevard. You can see him getting ready for his close-up by playing both Joe Gillis and Norma Desmond at the same time.

Okay, that last part about a one man show is a transparent lie, but it's such a great photo of Daniel that I just had to share.
