Telcos Help in Illegal Spying

I think my phone records are as dull as dishwater and just about the only overseas calls I make are to my family.

Despite this, if it turns out that my land line and cell phone providers have betrayed my privacy, dull as it may be, I'll be looking for fellow customers to sue them for breaching my privacy.

I've been reading the US constitution and US history and I don't understand how any American Citizen can think this is acceptable.

I guess the US Constitution isn't worth "We the people" defending it.

Time for a Time-Out

Your Gay Curmudgeon and He Who Must Be Obeyed are taking a few days of well earned vacation visiting HWMBO's family on the East Coast. "Aha," you cry, "That's why the posting log-jam has broken!"

Just so, gentle reader.

This morning we sat downstairs with the novelty of 4 year old twins and television (No cable or Satellite for us). This brings on some fresh revelations - that even the best behaved 4 year olds need a time out from time to time, and that some "interior designers" on television deserve similar treatment to 4 year olds.

We saw two progams called "Fix It Up", where they demonstrated "Faux Painting" techniques so terrible that no one should even know they exist (see above), and "New Spaces" where they took a nicely renovated Victorian house and turned it into a cluttered and disjointed monstrosity.

Yes, it is true that the Victorian period was characterized by a lot of furniture, many layers of carpets and draperies, and a mass of object d'art. This "Victorian Parlor Transformation", however, was something else again.

There definitely needs to be a Designer Time-Out for situations like these.
